Things That Have Happened Since I Got To Ireland:
- Seen lots of really old cemeteries.
- Seen lots of really old churches.
- Seen lots of really old people.
- Stayed in a really sad dank hotel room.
- Staying (right now) in a beautiful swank hotel suite.
- Had my car blocked by sheep.
- Had my car blocked by cows.
- Had my car blocked by other cars.
- Drank three pints.
- Ate six servings of chips.
- Been called “love” one hundred times.
- Drove my car on the “right” side of the road twice.
- Got honked at twice.
- Rode a car ferry because my GPS told me to.
- Discovered why my people don’t ever get tan.
- Discovered why people come here.
- Decided I never want to leave.

Glendalough is a wonderful example of round towers that the Irish built to protect against Viking raids. It’s a really really beautiful place.
Plus, when my grandfather went there in the early 90s he fell off of a wall in front of St Kevin’s church and hurt his leg. Only my grandfather…
