You know, it’s strange to me that when I say that all heterosex is rape, women assume I’m talking about *women’s* desires. They think that what I’m saying is that no woman is capable of deciding she’d like to have sex with a man. This is a mistaken interpretation.
What I am saying is, simply, that all men are rapists.
[snip…]
I feel similarly about heterosex. Even if a woman wants it – and I’m sure plenty of women do – it doesn’t outweigh the fact that men would rape her anyway. The men are *rapists*. It’s what they do. “Wanting it” doesn’t change that, though I’m not denying that some women do in fact “want it.”

Oh, bullshit. Saying that all men are rapists or that all men would rape is not only insulting and patently untrue, it also excuses the rapist responsibility for their actions. (Ie, “He couldn’t help it! He’s just a man!”)
I expect better from feminists.
I expect better from any thinking human being. If I wanted to read bullshit like that, I’d hang out over at jezebel.com.
My thoughts:
(This post’s formatting is complicated, so I’ve tried to clarify who said what)
The argument that “all heterosex is rape because all men are rapists” is an excellent example of the logical fallacy called “begging the question”, which means that you rest your conclusion on an assumption that you never bother to prove. The author provides no proof that “all men are rapists”, and, in fact, this is a thing that is logically impossible to prove anyway.
The idea that all sex is rape is ridiculous on it’s face, and no support of any kind is offered. In fact, in the comments, the author dismisses the argument that good men exist who have never raped anyone as a rebuttal to her argument (although whether it’s because she feels that these meager examples don’t disprove her overall point or if she thinks that if given the chance these so-called good men would rape isn’t clear).
But, of course, this type of belief is not about evidence or logic. It’s a caricature of feminist thought, and if I were more cynical I might think it’s intention is not to convince but primarily to shock and cause controversy. Of course a person is free to hold this belief if they choose, but if they want to have a real debate about it they probably ought to come up with some evidence first.
