Is it any wonder people were/are scared of doctors. If you tried to take out my tonsils with that, you’d have to chase me down first.

I had a liver biopsy a few years ago, and in order to do that they use a very large needle. The way they deal with that, though, is they keep you distracted and the needle out of sight until they stick you with it. This is to prevent you from seeing the needle and assaulting the doctor and nurses out of pure adrenaline. So my guess is they hit you with a mallet before they pulled this fine piece of equipment out…
