Inevitable, but sad. Wars always shape the world after them, but the impact of World War I was incredibly far-reaching. From Hemingway to chemical warfare to the Middle East to German reparation, much of the last century was shaped through the outcome of the war. Mrs. Green was the last living connection to that war, and now that era is passed completely.
