She’s obviously not going to die, but the story arc of how it impacts her & the people around her can keep everything fresh. (One example I’m thinking of is Andre Braugher [hey! also! he looks to be doing a guest spot on the season premier of House on Monday - I could watch him read the phone book] having a stroke at the end of Season 4 of Homicide. They ended up rushing the storyline and bringing him back to normal a little too fast, but watching someone powerful and self-assured struggle with setbacks can be fascinating TV.)
