Muppet Magazine was a quarterly publication that began publication after the Muppet Fan Club ended in 1982. From 1983 to 1989, each issue featured celebrity guests who were interviewed and photographed especially for the magazine. Other features included regular columns ostensibly written by Muppet characters, parody photographs of the Muppets as then-current pop culture figures, and original comic stories. The latter ranged from tales of The Muppet Show characters to original Fraggle Rock and Muppet Babies comics.I have no memory of this magazine, but it looks amazing. Gratuitous picture of Steve Martin copy and pasted specifically for the Shumway. Muppet Magazine on Wikia Entertainment.via Spike Jonze

Do I remember the Muppet magazine? I do indeed. Why, you ask? because, as a loyal subscriber to both the Masters of the Universe magazine and the G.I. Joe magazine I was switched to two copies per quarter of the Muppet magazine when those two ceased publication in 1988. I’ve got nothing against Muppets (in fact I like the Muppets quite a lot), but I’m still a little bitter that I was switched from those action-packed magazines to this one. Not even a little bit of shooting in it.
