More on the theme of crazy people severely injuring themselves after things dont go their way in court. There’s an odd sense of proportionality here - the guy before was sentenced to death (very bad) and took his last eye (very bad), this guy lost his farm (tragic, but not as bad) and took his finger (you don’t WANT to lose a finger, but as long as it isn’t the thumb you’ll be fine)
