Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, a potential 2012 GOP presidential candidate, has suggested his state may not be interested in all of the roughly $4 billion allotted to it in the economic stimulus package to be signed by President Obama today.
Alright Bobby Jindal. I’ll admit, I’ve hated you since I first heard your name uttered, but this… this is just too much.
The stimulus might create 50,000 jobs for Louisiana. With an unemployment rate hovering around 6%, a deficit of $3 or so billion and who knows how many people on welfare (easily 500,000 households), do you really think rejecting assistance is a good idea?
It’s okay to accept help. Really, it is.

Sure, but think about all the political capital he could gain if this move pays off! And also, fuck it, don’t take the money and give that shit to NY. This guy can gamble with his citizens’ well being all he wants if it means I don’t have to pay more to take the subway.
(via chuckmore)Honestly, this is a guy who earnestly believes he’s performed an exorcism. He probably doesn’t acknowledge the connection between not having money and budget deficeits. Those are REALLY caused by not enough faith
