That said, I think it’s worthwhile to share some of the music that I wouldn’t normally because I think it’s too obscure & niche-y
This is a song in Gaelic about a pirate queen. In the song and in Irish legend she’s called Granuaile - her name has been Anglicized to Grace O’Malley. History and exploits are a common theme in Irish music - it’s used as a way to pass down information, a remnant from when oral history was all there was.
